Because I am very busy with the software development work that takes up the majority of my time, I had to turn down another student this week. He wanted me to tutor him in Physics 150 at Camosun College. This is one of those courses that can be avoided by taking the corresponding course in Grade 12, thus saving students both time and some expensive post-secondary tuition. I see this often. Math and physics are popular subjects to avoid in high school. This is unfortunate because they are the most difficult to “get back up to speed on” after an absence.
