A couple of days ago I was making a math video with my friend Dahlia Miller of Smart Tutor Referrals. When I mentioned that I had been toying with the idea of making some physics videos to upload to YouTube, she mentioned some old ones by Julius Sumner Miller. I had never heard of him but searched YouTube as soon as I got home.
Miller’s videos are indeed old but they are also brilliant. Physics demonstrations are plentiful on the web. Some are very slick. Some are deliberately corny. Miller’s are neither. Watch one. Then, as with potato chips, see if you can stop there.
I guess there is no point in me making any videos. I look and sound way too normal to be as engaging as him. Maybe I can at least find a way to grow bushy eyebrows.
