My Availability for Tutoring

Rather than listing my available time slots for private tutoring on this site, I just finished registering myself with Find A Tutor Canada. For $30/year it looks like a good deal. Once my listing gets approved, I should get good exposure on their web site. It shows up on the first page of a Google search for “Victoria BC tutor” whereas my quaint little site here certainly does not. There are multiple tutoring companies in Victoria but, as far as I can tell, none of them target college and university students so working as an individual seems to be the only way to reach that group and Find A Tutor has a search category for that academic level.

Thanks for the mention and the link Brian! Checking your web page just before approving your listing. Please give me feed back to let me know how it works for you. I’ve received positive feedback from previous writing tutors in the Victoria area.

Is it worth posting an ad at the appropriate bulletin boards at the university….that may be where I might look for a tutor…..or the college/university rag…Norma

A friend of mine tried something like that with no success but that was for biology. A math prof suggested I do it for math and physics. I just have not gotten around to it yet. We want to do the same for our editing services but those will mostly be offered to ESL grad students.
